Toying around with ideas on how to add a monoeye and cables (the kit originally had the cables molded together with the torso, like an FG Zaku Warrior):

Of course, no Zaku is complete without it's heat hawk...

Crazy Zaku build, man...

For the head cables I kind of like the look of crimp beads...

here's a priceless piece of advice for the Liger: Assemble the the biggest whisker on the head and mask before painting. If you assemble after painting, it'll scratch! Wish I knew it earlier so I could have avoided it...

Thanks, tet!

I'll give 'em beads a spin too. How do you paint them though? Stick them on a strip of tape then paint away?

You may try and you may fail. I have not failed.  I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

WTB/Looking for: 1/100 [B-Club] Mudrock conversion, 1/100 [B-Club] GM Cannon II conversion, 1/100 B-Club Heavyarms Kai (TV design) full Kit, 1/72 Volks Zeta Gundam full kit.

Well, I've never actually tried painting the crimp beads... I've painted other metal parts before (Max Factory beads for Zaku cables, Kotobukiya white metal hands, etc.) - for beads I normally wrap a piece of tape sticky-side out over a piece of wire or something, make it thick enough to make the beads stay put but thin enough that I can still slide 'em on... String a bunch of beads on, and paint 'em. For metal I will sometimes try etching into the metal before painting (I have a product called "blacken-it" - it corrodes the surface of the metal a bit) - don't actually know if it helps but I imagine it does. XD

Lately for Zaku cables I mostly just use "Kotobukiya Mobile Pipe". They're pretty cheap, and sometimes they're handy for other things as well...

Whatever you plan on painting. Just common sense there.
