nice job!

Your decision about the bit of internal detail looks natural and totally fine to me.

Thanks.

I guess the only good thing about not having something to model after is that I can make it whatever I wanted it to be, whether it's good or bad :P .

It should be noted that, judging from my Kaiyodo kit, the reflector is only 9mm long!

BTW, can somebody explain to me how these things are supposed to work?

The reflector on this kit is actually bigger measuring at 12mm because the kit itself is bigger than Tani's. And thanks to that, I had a little more room to play with :) .

And yes, it's kind of difficult to imagine how the reflectors are supposed to work. If I'm not mistaken, there was an explanation about it in back of one of the early issues of the English manga?

From memory, these are anti-artillery and anti-personelle measures.  The lasers are fired from the body of the MH, and these are reflected off the flap at the target.  Basically, it allows it for a broader range of attack (or counter).  There are two patterns :normal and narrow. The normal is a basic grill shape, whereas the wide is made up of more complex shapes.

Looking for:

Slight update.

Been trying to resculpt the groin. Still trying to figure out how I can further detail that tiny area...

You know that the skirts will totally cover that area?

Yes, indeed. However, as I was pinning the kit, I didn't really like the original parts that were attached to the groin, as they would get in the way when posing the kit. That's when I had the idea of resculpting that area, and to make it so that the joints in that area would be fixed, instead of free-pose.

A mistake?  What means it, precious?

A mistake, as seeing as both collaborators on the FAC kit have now hit the bigtime, I feel the boxart alone is "worth" something as a collectors item. :P

It's like the pokemon of FSS.. gotta catch them all!

... if I were KOG anyway..

Mmmm.... I don't 'catch them all'.

I skip a few of the sucky or pointless kits now and then.  :P

I am, however, falling behind in my collecting a bit... I still have no WSC Jade Temple or Volks SAV Luminous w/ Full Equipment.

I guess I need to put some effort into getting caught up, since WSC Ashura 03 and Volks SAV Bang should be available sometime soon (if they aren't already).

You can't, even if you can read Japanese. This kit was sold through mail-order from HobbyJapan magazine back in 2006.

There are some on YahooJapan. Check your pm.

Any progress on this kit. This is 8 years ago but I want to see it. I just recently got one and I am gonna build it. I may mod it alot too. But no clear parts or anything. I may do that but its just a pain to recast the parts into clear.
