Hi, welcome to Hobbyfanatics!
We, the members of HF, want to make your experience and the experience of others on this hobby forum the best as possible. We aim to be a hobby community here that focus' on having fun, promoting, learning, and sharing of Figure, Mecha, and Scale modeling. Please take the time to read and consider the guidelines below.
FREEDOM OF SPEECH
The HF community prides itself on being an open community that promotes the freedom of speech. This freedom comes with responsibilities for the members. The following list of behaviors are intended to ensure all members act responsibly and respectfully towards each other. Violation of these guidelines is grounds for modification of posting privileges. Modification of posting privileges can consist of post deletion, moderator restriction, temporary suspension, extended suspensions, or outright banning.
Be considerate. Posts should be of a positive nature whenever possible. Discussions and spirited debates are welcome as long as they are conducted in a responsible manner. No flaming, name calling or personal attacks of other members to incite or perpetuate an argument. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be subject to restrictions without warning. Keep in mind if someone is being a jerk, you don't need to call that out; the jerk's behavior does that just fine!
Any serious threats of violence towards other members are strictly prohibited. Any disparaging remarks about race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, or disability will be at a minimum deleted without warning. This includes posts, avatars, and signatures. The remarks do not need to be aimed at a specific member to be prohibited. Depending on the nature and severity of the offense, further moderator action may be warranted.
Posts intended to deliberately derail a thread may be subject to moderation. Discussions may evolve on their own and end up markedly different than the original poster intended. But intentional efforts to interject a completely off topic post into a thread are not encouraged.
FORUM SEARCH FUNCTION
Please use the forum search before you create a new thread about a question. Many threads created involve asking the same questions and it would save space if you use the search function first. There are literally years worth of opinions archived on this forum, and you will get a more complete answer than asking the same question over and over. Common topics include opinions on airbrushes, putties, tools, where to buy hobby items, etc.
SCREEN NAME & REGISTRATION
Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself. Also, please do not create multiple accounts. If you had a prior account and are experiencing any kind of difficulty, please contact any member of the admin staff, and we'll do our best to sort it our for you.
PORNOGRAPHY
The definition of pornography for HF is simple: any depiction of a sexual act, either by an individual or multiple persons, is strictly prohibited. Violators will have the offensive material removed without warning and may be subject to further action by the moderators. Simple nudity (covered below) is not considered pornography, but must be appropriately labeled. This is a forum that has no age limit, and many members share their hobbies with their children. Examples of what would be considered pornographic include, but are not limited to, masturbation, oral sex, explicit depictions of genitalia, etc.
NUDITY *NSFW* (Not Safe For Work)
We here at HF understand that figure modeling may have some nudity. We appreciate the art and hard work in completing figures, however, if you your figure does contain nudity, please be considerate of other members and post *NSFW* in your thread title you create. This informs us members at work or near children to appreciate your work when it is safe for us to do so.
EXAMPLE:
Thread Title: New completed figure sailor moon *NSFW*
Subtitle: xyzskjksjd
Any information you choose to post or take from this site is at your own responsibility. Moderators and administrators frequently review forum messages, and any member may report a thread they find in violation of these guidelines. We reserve the right to take action, from deleting posts to banning any user, at any time, if found in violation. The rules of conduct may also apply to any private messages or e-mails sent through the forum's software. Also be advised, these guidelines are subject to change without notice. However, we will make every attempt to notify the membership of major changes to these forum regulations.
