Anyone on here play a little BF3 on PC, PS3 or 360?

Coming from a long history of gaming in the FPS genre (I played wolfenstein when I was 6.. perhaps a little too early), BF3 is the first shooter that I feel changes the playing field. Especially when compared to modern shooters (Call of Duty, etc.), I feel this game brings something different to the table.. vehicles mostly. But the way it blends vehicle combat with the infantry on the ground is something I've never seen really done well before; not in a FPS. Halo did it, but not on this scale.

Thoughts or comments from any Battlefield 3 players out there?

Err yeah my xbox 360 is banned online so I won't be able to get that just yet.
I'll buy a ps3 once assassins creed revelations is out along with BF3 and arkham city.

The co-host of my livestream has played nothing but BF3 since it came out and I gotta say, I really don't think I missed anything skipping this one. Looks just like Bad Company 2 without most of the level destruction. Oh but it has jets! The one thing that sold everyone, meh. I like the number of weapon attachments at least.

Well the thing is I didn't get any of the battlefield games before this except for the first bad company. And I actually hated it, so for me to be so sold on this game was something of a surprise, it was most definitely the jets though you're right haha. Even though in actuality maybe 25% of players can fly it without crashing right away... and 10% can actually get kills with it =\.

I played this last at my brother's house. I liked driving the tanks and the turf war mode. The people were all laid back and fun to talk to as well, maybe I just got a decent bunch or maybe it hasn't gotten too intense yet. Still the tanks reminded me of back when halo 2 was still cool.

Went through the campaign... yeah. Absolutely nothing at all worth noting. Played it on Easy, though, which made it pretty darn fun. Nothing like running up to an enemy while pumping two shotguns' worth of hot pellets into their midsection.

I do wish the knife worked better, though. Like, at all. It takes three long swipes with it to down an enemy, and yet to get close enough to use it you automatically get stabbed in the neck yourself? Who was the genius that thought up that idea?

Probably the same person who thought it a good idea to lock all the real features into the multiplayer. And nothing but competitive multiplayer, at that. There damn well better be bots, or I'll be glad I didn't buy this game.

Meh. CoD4 was and still is the best "modern" shooter of them all.

ut2004 had vehicles blending well into FPS.  but personally, i liked that game mostly for the action packed deathmatch.

This was a amazing game! The graphics was good and when you shot something like the barrier, it actually broke into pieces.. not like in other games. Story line was good to :D Would play it again :P

I play BF3 on PS3, well i did. My PS3 got the YLOD. I actually never really liked shooters but BF3 sucked me in, i bought it on Black Friday of 2011. I still cant get enough of it, i love blowing people up with random C4 XD

If anyone here plays on PS3 and likes a squad that communicates let me know and i'll be sure to add ya when i replace my PS3. I do plan on getting the Premium :) flame me all you want but i find it worth the $50.

PS: I usually use Team Speak on PC to communicate with my squad but if i'm going solo i'll use the PS3 mic.

I have officially found a new king of the "Modern Shooter" throne:

Spec Ops: The Line.

One of the best games of the year. The single-player campaign is phenomenal, and absolutely peerless in its storytelling. (Well, peerless by modern shooter standards.)
