Here is my finished MC Big O from Bandai. This was built for my friend, and i also entered it in the HLJ contest. I used the Soul of Chogokin Big O as reference material. Also first time trying out my new photobooth. I need better lights, and a good ironing on the backdrops. :P

Like all kits i build for my friend, i have a duplicate for myself, and i tend to use the one i did for him as a test-bed for techniques i'm going to use on mine. B-)

Nah, i didn't win. Didn't expect to honestly. As for paints, the knees/torso/feet are alclad steel, the torso is MM chrome, the gold is Mr. Super metallic gold, and the pistons are Alclad Chrome.

Great build! Colors look great and the metallics do pop! Especially against that red background. What are you planning for your second build of it? And thanks, I am going to have the theme for Big O stuck in my head all day!

^LOL the theme song is awesome so it's not that bad. XD

I'm thinking about attempting Final Stage

Might be a bit out of my skill set, so if i can't i'll do the scene where he's punching the falling star/satellite/stage light.

That would be badass! I wish you luck with the idea!

Can't you hear the opening sirens in your head?!? Absolutely love the theme song!

Final stage would be mighty impressive!  Great build on this one.  All the individual sections really stand out.  One question... do you gloss coat your metallics?  They've got a really nice sheen going on here.

Sort of. I hit them with future, and then with future mixed with some microscale satin.

The black is Alclad Steel, the Piston is Alclad Chrome, the silver is Model Masters Chrome Silver, and the gold is Mr. Super Metallic Gold.

Thanks for the kind words! :D
