Hello everyone. I'll be putting up some of my WIP shots of the 1:24 scale Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo from Tamiya. Please bear with me that it'll probably take me quite a long time to finish this model since I'm tied up with things such as my studies and my other project of building a new PC. So without further adue, here's the pics, enjoy and comment. Sorry in advance for the crappy quality... >_< Comments and suggestions would be apprecieted.

mmhmm, that sunroof mod is really slick! I'd try it, but I'd probably cause more harm than good!
Thanks for the comment ssgtdude, this is the first model I'm actually putting effort into. On previous models I just took the model out of the box, cut the parts off the sprues and glued everything together without even thinking about paint or 100% proper assembly

UPDATE:
I just uploaded better quality pics(for the most part) into my WIP GTO gallery. Click here to view the images.
I've also uploaded a few better (ehh) quality WIP pics of EVA-02 in my gallery. Click here to view the images.
I think they may be worth the look, they're significantly better than the webcam'd pics I posted earlier.

I've changed some things on the body. I've installed cannards (small fins on the front bar) and and in the process of doing a body kit. The body kit isn't finished, as I still need to run out and find some epoxy putty, but after I'm done, it should look good. I'm also putting in a racing seat and a rollbar (not finished yet). I will also put two hood vents (not shown yet). I am also putting in a mock engine from an extra model that I have so that if anyone does look down the hood vents, there's something there to please the eye.
The engine is shown incomplete. I've also included a pic of the actual engine in the car, the 3.0L V6, twin turbocharged -- 6G72.

UPDATE! Sorry for the slow progress and slow updates, I'm a slow worker, and I've been tied up with preping Belldandy, trying to build a PC, exams, etc.
Here are some pics of the body's progress. I apparently need to clear some space in the front of the chassis undersurface for the FMI (front-mount intercooler) I will be scratch-building, and as well, revise the front bar. Since the wind-splitter on the bottom is angled upwards, making the car more likely to take-off and fly than stay on the ground. I will also need to make side skirts since there's a LOT of ground clearance from putting on the racing wheels/tires. I plan on keeping the rear bar as simple as possible (at most, try to keep it stock), but I do plan on putting a rear diffuser under the rear of the car.

You can make out the diffuser under the car (its not painted yet)_

You can see how the nose of the car flows into the bonnet and the rest of the car! (need to get a new windshield though...)_

This is my inspiration for mounting the side-view mirrors on the front quarter panels instead of the door. The RE Amemiya Greddy FD3S drift car_

Note that I still haven't found the time to pull out the 'ole dremel to cut out part of the car's hood in place of putting in my hood exhaust scoops. I will do that once I get some Milliput from the hobby shop!

Finally, got some done on this crazy thing. Had the rollcage, driver's racing seat and interior almost complete except for a scale fire extinguisher. But atleast I got some work done on the body. There's still a LOT of work to be done on the body, ie. puttying and creating a more realistic GT racing widebody kit, etc. But I've currently got the base of where the rest of the putty will go on. Progress pics below, enjoy
Still a bit of work to be done...
