I have put my 1/35 scale sherman on the back burner to build a 1/16 RC version.  This is my second 1/16th RC tank.  My first is a 1/16 Tiger 1.

Here is the beginning of the build starting with the bottom hull.

I didnt want to leave any space unpainted on the bottom hull.  Thats why I went ahead and painted the hull and suspension system before installation, as there would be little room to do so later.  I used a Tamiya XF62 olive drab paint, mixed 10 parts paint and 1 part thinner, and a Revell Vario master class airbrush.  I'll let this dry overnight and continue building tomorrow

Looking good. Did you sleep at all last night :D  Much better on the pics too. One thing to be careful of though on that kit is the little block things on the suspension. Those little plastic bits will go missing after the first couple times you run it. Its one of the drawbacks of the kit.

Here is the suspension completed and painted (not weatherd)  Also the tail end of the tank.  The aircleaners and tension adjusters are not painted yet, thats why they look so light.

This RC tank has a lighting kit with it.  Here is the lighting module installed, and the top of the hull assembled (not painted)

I still need to get the Transmitter and receiver to run it, but het is the turrent assembled with flash unit and servo installed.  Also, tank fit tested before I sand rough edges off turrent and paint.
