This is a teaser post for my newest project after the adventure with Seras Victoria.

As soon as the galleries are up and running again I'll upload pics and show ya'all what I've done so far and what I am about to do with this sword wielding beauty... B)

One has got to love Berserk's characters. Caska is amazing, and she's definitely in good hands, Joa ;)

Let see what kind of mindblowing display you gonna make, or not
Can´t wait untill you decide the final pose for her :)

I've already put the saw to her neck...
The pose has (since long) already been decided, the display also... B)
I'm just not yet sure how to handle the old/new galleries ...

Ok, here goes...

I really like this kit, and I don't like it.
I like it because it is from one of my fav part of both the manga and the anime.
The latter depends greatly on the fact that this doesn't look like Casca at all; not the pose, expression or looks ... ^^

So, what to do?
Well, I am no stranger to conversions, so I settled for a subtle yet dramatic change in her posture.
When I first saw this kit I thought to myself: "Hah! I'd make her look over her shoulder, crying rather than this strutty show off walking her little walk"
Here I am realizing that thought.

References...
As allways, reference pics are crucial for any successful mission of this sort, so:

Off with her Head!!!!

Holes for pinning /posing her head prior to resculpting the neck:

Moving around the pinned head to find the perfect angle...
I penciled in the new angle for her eyes in order to make this easier.

On to the shirt.
It's been worn by a small, tiny man.. almost dwarfish in appearance... NOT!
Right, it's huge, stretched... and now it's supposed to be draped over this small (yet muscular) young woman... (see the reference sheet above)

Also, In this sequence she's quite upset, sad and angry, so the smile on her pretty face must go. Period.

More to come...

Ohmigosh, can't wait for you to do more! I'm totally buying the idea of a more emotionally packed Caska. Hearts all around :D

Brief update, sans pics though...

Chin and nose have been mutilated.
I have also *cut* her hair as the bangs and neck didn't really match her haircut.

Not done yet, but... I'll add some pounds to her hips as she's more feminine than the sculptor wanted to show. This also might make it unnecessary to shorten her legs as was my first intent.

I also decided to alter the pose a little further by raising her left arm (by the elbow, hand kept intact) to hold the tree she'll be standing by.

Oh... I didn't know she was *your* gurl... B)
But I have to add that due to the scale this project has reached, I think I'll keep it as a one of a kind ditto... 'hope you'll understand ;)

Casca is indeed my gurl, duh! =P Although... I'm a pretty skinny guy... She could tear me to pieces. :(

Hehe, and yes, I understand. BUT, I feel it's only fair that you let me post pictures of your finished kit (and in-progress pics) on my site. :D The Berserk community will get a kick out of her I'm telling you!

Done:
-I widened her hips and built up her rear cheeks ;) + covered / built up the much too distinct "belly area" since I want the shirt to appear to be BIG and loose.
- I Raised and resculpted her left arm.
- I prepped the base to make her grab the tree alright.
- Armature for a tiny fairy (Puck? ) that will be peeking out of the hollow base under the tree.

To do tonight and this weekend:
- Breast enlargment (nope, not Volks' Seras style... ); since her breasts are 1) too small I want to add a few sizes to them and since they are 2) placed way too high up (right, girls? ), I'll just build from there and downwards.
- Lower the shirt to expose more of her left breast, make the shirt longer (by the hips) in order to further give the impression she's not as tall as the original kit implies.
- Retool her face / facial expression and hair. This is as I see it the most critical part as I haven't really reworked anime faces before, and I'm a little nervous about loosing the likeness... <_<

Btw, for these adventures, I'm using a Plumber's Putty I bought in NY back in '97.
It's a long lasting sukker, I tell you .. I've used the same package for I believe every project since...
It's not as fine as for example Milliputty, but it's very nice and easy to work around for larger areas and since I'm not doing any finer detailing here... + it responds beautifully to water. =)

And for you picture junkies; nah, not on this one (except for you Derek, PM will be sent later t'night ;) ).
I'm going to complete it and then perhaps show all the alterations :P

More to come...
